Ask PlayGround Games what the original cult hit Forza Horizon released for the Xbox 360 back in 2012 was about, and they will tell you that it espoused basically three ideals: beauty, fun, and freedom. Three ideals that they have tried their best to continue and realize even further with this year’s upcoming Forza Horizon 2, for the Xbox One (there is an Xbox 360 version as well, but since that is being developed by an entirely different studio, it’s probably not at the forefront of Playground’s minds when they are discussing development of this game).
“Horizon beauty is colorful, exotic, uplifting, and almost seductive” Playground Games’ Lead Designer Martin Connor said to Canadian Online Gamers. “…the way the light bounces, the way it finds every surface, every material differently in our world.” And that, apparently, will also characterize how it all looks and behaves in Forza Horizon 2.
The game launches on Xbox One and Xbox 360 later this year. Stay tuned for more coverage of the title on GamingBolt.
