Some users have been able to pre-load the upcoming beta for Bungie’s Destiny on the PlayStation 4. Although it’s unclear in which regions the beta is available for pre-load, several users from Reddit have been able to reveal some new information such as the game’s file size.
The pre-load is supposedly only available for those users who have pre-ordered the game digitally on the PlayStation Network. The initial set up download size is 179 Mb which is then followed by beta files of size 13.2GB. But when you install it on the PS4’s hard disk, the final size comes out to be 14.3GB. So make sure you have that much space if you plan to play the upcoming beta. On the other hand, the beta on the Xbox One weighs 12.63 GB.
You need to have automatic downloads active for this to happen as your PlayStation 4 will automatically queue it up for downloading. If you own both a PlayStation and Xbox, you can claim as many as four Destiny Beta download codes, one for each supported console. However you would need to pre-order all four versions.
Thanks, Reddit.
