WWE 2K15 Pre-Order Exclusive Includes “The Icon” Sting

Showtime!

After rumours of the same and a tweet hyping up the date itself, it was finally confirmed on Monday Night RAW that “The Icon” Sting would be a pre-order exclusive character in the upcoming WWE 2K15. Check out the reveal trailer of the same above, which is genuinely a very cool trailer.

Why is this news significant? It’s because this is perhaps the only true association that Sting, known for his work in WCW and NWA, has ever had with the WWE. Sting was one of the few professional wrestlers to never work with WWE owner Vince McMahon and while this is more of a trailer for 2K Games than actually performing in a WWE ring, it’s still fairly cool.

There will be two generations of Sting on offer – Black Crow and Surfer Sting, the former representing Sting’s most recent gimmick. WWE 2K15 will be out this October for PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
