The trailer for Assassin’s Creed Rogue was leaked earlier today and rather than announce it at Gamescom, Ubisoft confirmed its release in November 11th for the Xbox 360 and PS3, releasing an official version of the trailer for fans. Check it out above.

A lot of new details have been confirmed by Ubisoft. The game will be developed by Ubisoft Sofia and features a collaboration with the Singapore, Montreal, Quebec, Chengdu, Milan and Bucharest studios. Assassin’s Creed: Rogue will take you back to New York in the 18th century and will serve to bridge the gap between Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag as it covers the Seven Years War (in which Assassin’s Creed: Unity also takes place). You’ll play as Shay Patrick Cormac, an Assassin who is betrayed by the cause and joins the Templars to hunt his brothers down.

Along with New York, which will be revamped this time around, you’ll also explore the Frozen Atlantic and Appalachian River Valley. You’ll have a new ship to sail in called the Morrigan and there are new weapons to be had as well. Ubisoft promises that the naval aspects of the game will be enhanced from previous titles.

Martin Capel, game director of Ubisoft Sofia, stated that, “We know that there are many Assassin’s Creed fans with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles who want to get their hands on a new Assassin’s Creed game this year. Assassin’s Creed Rogue completes the North American saga started with Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and gives previous generation console owners an exclusive opportunity to experience fan-requested features, such as playing as a Templar.”

Will Assassin’s Creed: Rogue tie into the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Unity, which is only releasing on PS4, Xbox One and PC? We’ll find out in the coming months.
