Ever since Phil Spencer has taken over the Xbox brand, Microsoft’s latest console has seen nothing but an upward momentum. Their presentation at Gamescom was nothing short of amazing and was filled with games that were actually playable, not to mention the timed exclusivity of the next Tomb Raider was a megaton.

In an earlier report, Spencer stated that he prefers a higher frame rate rather than a higher resolution. He has now further clarified his statements on his Twitter feed that he was not downplaying the importance of 1080p. “Clearly 1080p is a thing, I’m just saying I trust creators to make the right decisions for their game,” he said. He also disagrees that games are all about resolution and frame rates. “I guess we will just disagree. I don’t think great game design is defined at one rez and fps,” he said.

He also confirmed that they are working on a share feature for the Xbox One but don’t have any release date for the same. “Working on screenshots, lots of requests for this feature. We’ll get it done, just not locked on when.” He also revealed that they are working Xbox One’s plans for TGS, as the system is launching this September in Japan. He also believes that 4K resolution won’t happen this generation and they need to work on new IPs. “I don’t think we’ll see full 4K games this generation in traditional console genres. Agree on IP, we need to own more.”

And finally, gamers can expect new information about the next Gears of War in 2015.
