Still Confused About The PlayStation TV? This Video Should Clear Things Up

Do you get it now?

The PlayStation TV, which is the rebranded PS Vita TV, is a microconsole that is based on the PlayStation Vita hardware. Effectively, it’s like a console version of the PS Vita that can play PS Vita games on your TV. That said, because of how unique the PS Vita hardware is, and how that doesn’t all translate into a console, a great number of games can’t be played on your PSTV, even if they are Vita native games.

Sounds confusing? Maybe the entire proposition is a bit… baffling? To you? Well if so, don’t worry, because this newest video that Sony released for the PlayStation TV, which launches in North American territories in roughly two weeks, should help to clarify a lot of your questions and doubts. It’s still not an exhaustive answer, and as always, it focuses a bit too much on the Vita’s place in the PlayStation ecosystem, as opposed to the Vita’s strengths as a standalone device, but still, it should be a good start for you.
