Sunset Overdrive Has Gone Gold

Here, celebrate with a new trailer.

Insomniac’s first high profile project since Resistance 3 on the PlayStation 3 is Sunset Overdrive, an Xbox One exclusive that looks to be a roaring return to form for the studio, as well as a return to their roots. Sunset Overdrive promises to be an open world action adventure with a platforming and shooting twist, blending and mixing genres with the kind of deftness Insomniac used to exhibit back with their Ratchet and Clank games on the PlayStation 2, and a marquee game for the Xbox One.

It was announced last year, during E3 2013, when the Xbox One itself was detailed on a bit by Microsoft, and Xbox owners and fans have been waiting for it since. Well, everyone- wait no more! Insomniac’s Sunset Overdrive has now gone gold (meaning it has finished development, debugging and testing, and quality assurance, and the discs are now being pressed and sent out to retailers). This means there will be no more unexpected delays, and the game will launch on its scheduled date.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage of the game as it nears launch, but for now, celebrate the game going gold with a brand new trailer.
