Far Cry 4

Ubisoft’s Far Cry 4 has finally gone gold according to the UbiBlog. This means that all development on the game has been wrapped up and it is currently in the process of manufacturing and mass disk production for shipping to retailers.

Executive Producer Dan Hay stated that, “When I look back at Far Cry 4’s development, I’m amazed at what the team pulled off,. We added verticality. We gave the player the ability to fly. We gave them the ability to fly in co-op. We gave them the ability to fly and have the other player down on the ground running around while they’re flying. We made the number of encounters way higher. The encounters are different, and the animals are different. The characters are unique, and your friends will have subtly different experiences with the story. I’m proud of both the quality and the sheer volume in Far Cry 4.”

Interestingly, it was the success of Far Cry 3 that made the series “one of Ubisoft’s top brands,” according to Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing Tony Key. He also promises that, “Far Cry 4 will raise the bar for the series yet again.”

Far Cry 4 releases on November 18th for the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4.
