Dragon Age: Inquisition

Bioware’s upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition may be the third entry in their fantasy RPG franchise, but it certainly doesn’t seem to follow directly from where the controversial Dragon Age II left off. On the contrary, it appears to take a bit of a leap ahead of Dragon Age II, and a lot seems to have changed in the Dragon Age world in the period. If you want to know exactly what happened between the end of Dragon Age II and the beginning of Dragon Age: Inquisition, however, you are in luck as Dragon Age: The Last Court, a part of the Dragon Age Keep package, fills in the gaps for you.

The Last Court is a text based browser game, which sort of works as a simulation game, asking the player to manage the affairs of their court, assigning a counsellor, bodyguard, and other such roles, make choices that impact the kingdom, and perhaps most importantly, the game will task players with prioritizing different threats.

“In Dragon Age: The Last Court, you are the ruler of Serault: an eccentric fiefdom at the farthest ends of Orlais,” developer Failbetter Games said on their website. “As the Huntress or the Scholar you’ll guide your realm through the most crucial period in its history. Will its ancient Shame be forgiven? Or will Serault fall into obscurity?”

Inquisition launches later this month on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, and PC.
