With Netflix being a huge success in America, Sony has decided to raise the bar and has plans to stream  TV shows through PlayStation Vue. What this cloud service means is that it will allow viewers to watch their favorite TV Shows on demand, without having the hassle to record them.

However viewers will also be able to tag their favorite TV shows and will be available to save their unwatched episodes  cloud without any storage limitations. When saved  the episodes can be viewed for up to 28 days. Additionally Playstation Vue will be released on iPad devices, after they have tested the software out on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

However Sony is not limiting the software to only Sony devices, as it has plans to expand to non Sony devices as well. Interestingly enough an invite only beta for PlayStation Vue has gone out and is scheduled for November starting in New York with Philadelphia, Chicago, and Los Angeles afterwards. Below is the list of network partners announced for Playstation Vue:

Fox – Fox Networks Group’s portfolio of national entertainment programming services, including – FX, FXX, FXM, National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo WILD. Additionally FOX Sports’ national and regional programming services – FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2, BTN, Fox’s regional sports networks, including YES Network and Prime Ticket. The agreement also covers Fox’s owned and operated television stations.
