Destiny Iron Banner 2.0 Live Event Starts Today

Power in PvP really matters this time (for real).

Lord Saladin and the Iron Banner will be returning to Bungie’s Destiny on November 18th in the United States but things will be a little different this time around. The live event introduces a PvP playlist where players’ gear, levels and equipment matter. Unlike normal Crucible matches, the amount of damage you give and receive will not be balanced out for all players.

Iron Banner 2.0 will start today and end on November 24th. The first iteration was received rather harshly for a multitude of reasons, namely due to poor gear, zero reputation and marks earned when losing, no benefits for higher level characters and gear and so on. With the second iteration, there will now be gloves and boots to help players achieve maximum light level (level 30, essentially). Along with five ranks and incentives for losing players, only fireteams with a leader at level 20 can enter and there will be a more pronounced difference between players of different levels.
