It’s by no means a new concept- old Nokia phones used to allow this, the Xbox 360 (the original model) used to allow this, the Gameboy Micro used to allow this, the New Nintendo 3DS allows this- but it’s the first time Sony has jumped on board. They are now going to be selling limited edition PlayStation 4 faceplates on their online store, as part of a new initiative that they call ‘Project SkyLight.’

Sony has confirmed that in the future, multiple designs will be available to users, but as of right now, your only options are LittleBigPlanet 3 and The Order 1886. These faceplates replace the standard hard drive cover on your PS4.

Sony has also emphasized that both these faceplates are being made and sold in extremely limited quantities, so if you fancy a LittleBigPlanet or The Order skin for your console, you better act now, and you better act fast. Others are going to be having the same idea.
