With a name like Killing Floor 2, you’d expect the killing and the weapons in the game to be fun, and they are. In their latest development diary for the game, the developers, Tripwire Interactive, talk about exactly what it is that makes weapons in video games so much fun in the first place, and how they are looking to maximize on that to the fullest possible with Killing Floor 2

The developers talk also about modeling real-life weapons, creative and fictional weapons and perhaps most interesting of all, how Medic Guns will work, which, in a game with a name like Killing Floor, will always present a kind of dichotomy to the player.

Killing Floor 2 is due out on PC some time next year; it was recently also announced for the PlayStation 4, although the developer was swift to clarify that the PC version will be the lead platform, and that the PS4 version will release after the PC one.

Stay tuned for more coverage and updates.
