If you’ve been paying attention to Microsoft over the past few months, you will have probably noticed that they are slowly building up some hype around their upcoming Windows 10 event which is scheduled for January 21st. Phil Spencer aims to address the Xbox gaming community as well at the PC-centric conference and thanks to a career opportunity advertisement, we may be getting a look behind the curtain at what to expect.

Microsoft are seeking a software engineer and are asking “Do you love Xbox and PC gaming? Do you want to work on something fun?” The “Xbox Experience Team” are on the lookout for talented individuals to help work on some secret project that may well bring gamers together, bridging the gap between the PC and Console communities.

The ad says, “The day-to-day role will include designing and developing new experiences, as well as improving our existing experiences as we listen to our customers and follow the Xbox philosophy of continuous improvement and giving our customers what they want.” Let’s not forget that the last time Microsoft tried something like this, they spawned the horrid Games For Windows Live service which was a travesty.
