Guardians of the Tower in Bungie’s Destiny will finally be getting their long-awaited Holiday gift. Before Christmas began, Bungie promised that it would be delivering a gift of some sort to players shortly after the new year began.

No definitive date was given so it was supposed that the first week of January was the right time to expect the same. On cue, Bungie has tweeted that, “A small, but Legendary token of gratitude is being prepped for delivery later this week. We’ll let you know when to check the Postmaster.”

The obvious assumption is that players will be receiving Legendary items of some sort and judging by community manager David “DeeJ” Dague’s comments earlier, it could very well be Engrams of some sort. The question arises though: Will it deliver on players’ expectations or just provide another set of Shards and Energies?

Stay tuned for more information on the same as Bungie’s gift goes live.
