Microsoft are in the market for some new talent it would seem after they have revealed a career changing opportunity for a talented Principal Software Engineer. This is most likely a job role that will be responsible for implementing and making better use of the Xbox One’s much flaunted “Azure cloud servers”.

The strength of the cloud was one of the selling points of the Xbox One that was said to grant it the power to far surpass previous hardware limitations, but it would seem that with this job advertisement they intend to take the concept further.

That job ad asks that you “Bring your experience, talent, and passion to build AAA games that showcase the Xbox One and leverage our Research and Platform portfolio to supercharge your ideas” and to “Educate and infuse technical showcases of Microsoft and Azure into your games.”

The posting is clearly targeted at the best of the best, the truly elite as it asks for 12 years of industry experience, at least five of which must have been in a leadership role. You also have to had shipped five AAA games.
