If you haven’t ever known the pleasure of torturing a virtual individual in Maxis’s The Sims franchise, then you’re in luck – Origin is offering The Sims 4 as a free 48 hour download as part of its Game Time promotion.

This is the full game and the free time will only start counting down when you start up the game for the first time. Keep in mind that you’ll have to play it continuously at that point because the timer will countdown from that point even if you’re not playing.

The Sims 4 offers quite a bit of new features including new ways to tell the story of your Sims, new professions and other interactive features. It’s a worth a shot, especially if you’re getting it for free, so head on over to Origin and try it out.
