Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles X is a fairly large game – much larger than its predecessor. According to Famitsu (translation by Siliconera), not only will the game’s map be five times bigger but the total completionist run will take roughly 300 hours in the game’s current state. That’s for collecting all the items in the game though and may not indicate the overall length of the campaign.

You’ll be able to move across the world by foot or using your mech but you can use the Wii U Game Pad to fast travel to place. The Game Pad has other uses with database entries and quest information also available on it.

Director Tetsuya Takahashi also revealed that despite the name, this isn’t a direct sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles. The X seems to indicate player connection but more details will probably be revealed in the coming months.
