Dragon’s Dogma Online Receives First Gameplay Trailer

It could be worse.

Capcom announced the long awaited and anticipated follow up to their hit RPG from last generation, Dragon’s Dogma, recently, but in true Capcom fashion, they messed it up by announcing it would be a) an MMORPG b) a free to play MMORPG at that, and c) releasing only in Japan.

Talk about raising hopes, then dashing them, running them over with a tank, and then atomizing them with a sledgehammer for good measure.

If, for some reason, however, you still had any interest in the game left at all, well, the good news is we have some gameplay to show you, which you can watch above. It looks… well, it could look worse, and it doesn’t look like a complete bastardization of the game which many feared it would be (though, of course, the true litmus test will be when the game launches, and the balance of monetization versus game design can be weighed against one another).
