EA, DICE, and Visceral may be gearing up to launch the next big Battlefield game soon, but that doesn’t mean that Battlefield 4 has been forgotten; in fact, as an incentive for its community to invest yet more time and attention into the game, the developers will be offering Double XP in all multiplayer modes from now through Sunday. This is also being done simultaneously to celebrate Battlefield Hardline going gold.
The Double XP period applies to all online multiplayer modes, and will be available on all platforms that the game launched on as well, so no one who is still playing the game online gets left out.
Battlefield 4 itself launched in late 2013, and possible as a portend of things to come later in this generation, had a troubled launch, the game being riddled with server errors, and countless bugs and glitches. Nearly a year and a half later, the game now functions as it was originally intended to, and now actually plays pretty darn well. It’s available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC, so maybe check it out if shooters interest you at all.
