Wasteland 2, the sequel to one of the original post Apocalyptic RPGs that gave rise to the likes of Fallout, is coming to the Xbox One and PS4 later this year. GamingBolt recently got in touch with Den Jenkins who is the Lead Engineer at InXile Entertainment, and he has confirmed that the game will be running at 1080p on both consoles.

He admits that their requirements are different than some other games, saying “We’re a single-player, turn-based RPG, so our needs for performance are a bit different than other games, like multiplayer shooters. We are looking to strike the right balance in performance and looks for our style of game. We’re currently running at 1080p and don’t foresee any issues as development progresses. ”

When asked about encountering eSRAM issues on the Xbox One, Jenkins replied, “So far, we haven’t had any issues with Xbox One development in regards to the eSRAM or anything else for that matter.” And there you have it, development is going smoothly for someone for a change.

Wasteland 2 Game of the Year Edition will launch on the PS4 and Xbox One this year. Stay tuned for our full interview soon.
