One thing Sony has emphasized with its first party PlayStation 4 games this generation is a dedicated Photo Mode for each title, that lets you take some well constructed and composed, flattering screenshots of the games, for the purpose of sharing them with friends, and online. Photo Mode was already a thing in inFamous: Second Son, The Last of Us Remastered, and DriveClub. Now, it seems like Ready at Dawn’s controversial The Order: 1886 also has it thanks to a new game update that was just released.

That’s not all they have added, however- they have also added the ability to play through the game in black and white, as if watching an old movie. A

‘As shown in the video, we’ve added the ability for you to play the game with your selected Colour Grading,’ they said.  ‘Want to see what The Order: 1886 feels like if you play through it in high-contrast, gritty, black & white? Since The Order: 1886 is completely rendered in real-time with no pre-rendered frames, you’re able to play in a customised look from beginning to end. If at any time you want to change Color Grading styles during gameplay, simply enter Photo Mode and make your adjustment. You can also reset the option if you wish to play the game as it was originally intended.’

The Order: 1886 is available exclusively on PS4. It’s not necessarily the best game in the world, but for what it is, it’s not half bad either. if you can find it for cheap, it’s not a bad purchase to make.
