'We have talked to everyone.'

Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2

The possibility of Oculus on consoles might not seem too high to you, given how Sony and Microsoft are both working on their own, similar products, but according to Oculus VR vice president Nate Mitchell, at the very least, one shouldn’t be so quick to jump to conclusions.

“We have,” Mitchell replied during the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in New York, when asked if Oculus VR had spoken with Microsoft and Sony.

“We’ve talked to everyone. There’s a lot of people right now interested in the VR space. And we’ve said many times that we’re interested in bringing the Rift to as many consoles or platforms as possible. Ultimately, we haven’t announced any sort of partnerships to date. But it’s something we’re always exploring.”

As of right now, Oculus is just officially confirmed for PC, although there has been some experimentation with getting it to run on Android as well. It is due out for consumers next year.
