Humble Nintendo Bundle Now Available on Humble Store

Yes, Nintendo is the first console company to do a Humble Bundle, and it's pretty great too.

Whereas Humble Bundles have become a mainstay of gaming, offering multiple great titles for cheap prices (and raising some money for charity in the process, too!), they’ve mostly been confined to PC games, with the occasional foray into Android gaming. So far, no console has offered a Humble Bundle. Today, that changes. Nintendo has become the first company to offer a Humble Bundle, offering a range of great games available on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U for cheap prices.

The bundle is called the Humble Nindie Bundle presented by Nintendo eShop, and you can pay what you want for Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, Woah Dave!, and Mighty Switch Force. Pay more than the average price, and you’ll also get The Fall, OlliOlli, and Moon Chronicles. Pay $10 or more, and you get all of that plus Stealth Inc 2 and SteamWorld Dig.

There will be more games added to the bundle as time goes on, but I have to say, for some of the best indie games currently available on both these systems, $11 is not a bad deal at all- especially since individually, these games would stack up to $88.

Speaking to Polygon, Humble discussed their plans to do more of these with console manufacturers going forward.

“We are trying to talk to everyone and we are definitely exploring all possibilities,” said John Graham, co-founder of Humble Bundle. “I’m optimistic that our future will hold more console promotions.”

One thing to remember when you purchase games for this is, these games are all region locked, only for the Americas- if you live in Europe, Australia, or Japan, do not purchase from the Humble Bundle. None of these games will work on your PAL or JP systems.

Still, props to Nintendo for doing this.
