Xbox One Streaming to Windows 10

It’s been heavily rumored for a while, but now, we finally have official confirmation- Windows 10, the newest incarnation of Microsoft’s world conquering (literally) operating system, will be launching on July 29. The date had been heavily speculated to be the official launch of the OS< after AMD let slip that that was when they were expecting Windows 10 to launch in an earnings report.

Windows 10 brings with it a whole host of new improvements and innovations, including an OS that runs on just about every computer (and automatically picks an interface that suits the form factor of the device it is being run on, rather than forcing one UI on everything, like windows 8 did), incredible stability, a new version of Office, integration with Microsoft’s OneDrive and digital assistant Cortana, and, more to the point from the perspective of video games enthusiasts, it includes a range of gaming related improvements, including a Windows Store, universal apps, in built gaming relation functionality, connectivity with Xbox including the ability to stream games via Remote Play, and DirectX 12, the newest version of the API that promises a generational leap forward for PC gaming.

Windows 10 will be available as a free upgrade to all users of Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1, so you don’t need to worry about saving up for it or anything. The only thing you need to save is the date.
