Everybody's Gone to the Rapture

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture was originally slated to be a PC game before plans by the developers changed abruptly. Since that time there has been talk quite a bit of talk about it coming to the PS4. Today, on the official Sony Playstation blog the company behind the game officially announced the launch date for the Sony Playstation 4 version. The title will be available on the PS4 on August 11 and the company announced that it has launched a website dedicated to the game as a way to celebrate this move.

The site is geared towards getting people used to the characters and concepts, as well as the sights and sounds in the game. The premise is somewhat divulged thanks to the title of the game, but there’s quite a bit of story behind the fact that in this world, everything came to an end about 31 years ago. The journey to lay out this game probably seems like it has been almost as long for the developers who talked about how hard they’ve worked over the last decade to get this game into production and then get their vision fully realized. The team, which is quite small especially when you’re talking about a game that’s going to be featured on the PS4 said in the blog post they’ve been talking about or working on the title since 2006.

This isn’t an action-filled shoot-em up game, but rather a mystery as you try and figure out just what went down on that day more than 30 years ago. We won’t have to wait too much longer to solve that particular mystery. Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture will hit the PS4 on August 11, check out the teaser trailer to get a taste of what the game looks like.
