All Three Versions of Forza Motorsport 6 Now Up For Pre-Order, DLC Detailed

Unlike Ubisoft, Microsoft's bevy of special edition makes sense. Somewhat.

Forza Motorpsort 6 looks to be a return to form for the mainline Forza Motorsport games which, after four consecutive installments showing a progressive incline in quality, finally slipped with 2013’s Forza Motorsport 5, a game that was lacking in content, features, and rife with abusive DLC practices.

Speaking of the latter, while Forza 6 may ship feature complete and look great, Microsoft and Turn 10 are still not going to miss this chance to pimp out as much DLC as possible. Forza Motorsport 6 will ship in three versions at launch, all three of which are available to pre-order right now from the Xbox Store.

The standard edition of the game will be just that, standard. It will come with the Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack;  cars confirmed to be in the pack include the 2012 BMW M5, 2005 Honda NSX-R, 2013 McLaren P1, and the 2014 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4. It will cost $60.

The Deluxe Edition, meanwhile, costs $80, and in addition to everything the standard edition includes, it will also come with the ‘VIP Pass’ for the game, giving you access to double race earnings, exclusive events and more gifts, including five new cars.

Finally, we have the Ultimate Edition- it’s $100, includes everything listed above, and then goes ahead and also adds the Forza ‘Car Pass,’ which will deliver to you six, monthly car packs, starting in November and all containing seven vehicles.

Personally, I am not sure if the more expensive versions are worth it- the base game seems like it would be good enough for me. Still, for those of you who are big fans of Forzs, I guess this is a good series of perks to have.
