Call of Duty Black Ops 3

As Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 comes ever closer to the release date, we’re getting more and more information about the game. Knowing what is in the game story is one thing, but finding out information about the kind of hardware that will be used to run the game or finding out the latest on the title’s Rejack ability. Studio Design Director at Treyarch, David Vonderhaar took to Twitter in order to answer a couple of questions about the game, including explaining how Rejacking is going to be working in the newest game.

Vonderhaar was asked by a Twitter user whether or not Treyarch would make it so that when someone uses the Rejack ability, it would reset the scorestreak meter? Vonderhaar answered that they had actually changed it the way that ability works so that it doesn’t change the scorestreak. He went on to explain that the feature is very underpowered right now and even though they know doing this is a bit controversial, they’re still going to go with it this way.

On a separate note, Vonderhaar said that they have been working on separating the sensitivities in order to make the game play better over the long run. The exec says that they separated it out in order to give better control over wall running, or thrust jumping. When it comes to ranked matches in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, director of development Cesar Stastny said on his Twitter that the matches will be very similar to Black Ops 2. He added there would be a few improvements, matchmaking, and ranked matches that are 100% hosted on dedicated servers. While he didn’t bring a ton of details to the table, Stasny said the Treyarch team will be bringing more details later in the year, most likely at Gamescom.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC on November 6.
