While most pre-release coverage of any Call of Duty game is related to its ever popular multiplayer mode, it must not be forgotten that a sizeable number of the audience plays these games just for the campaigns- so showing off the single player mode every now and then can’t hurt.
At the PlayStation E3 booth this year, that is precisely what Activision did. The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 campaign was showcased there extensively with the Cyber Core tutorial and an extended cut from “Ramses Station.” As this is a Treyarch Call of Duty campaign, the game looks expectedly different from the usual Call of Duty norm, presenting players with choice not just in how the story in the campaign plays out, but also in the moment to moment gameplay. It helps as well that the entire campaign supports co-op play for up to four players.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC on November 6.
