Everybody's Gone to the Rapture

The world is ending in the PlayStation 4 exclusive Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, which launches soon. The game, which is being developed by The Chinese Room – yes, that The Chinese Room, as in the guys who brought us the excellent Amnesia: Dark Descent, and it’s sort of less excellent sequel – pits the player in a bright post apocalyptic world, where the isolation and bleakness that you expect is not quite to be found.

All of this, and more, is to be found in the game’s launch trailer, which you can see below. It looks like The Chinese Room’s reputation for excellence and for surprising the player and subverting their moment to moment expectations will carry over beautifully into this game.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture launches exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on August 11. For more coverage and information on the game, stay tuned to GamingBolt. Meanwhile, make sure to watch the launch trailer below.
