The Xbox One August Update is officially rolling out today and there are a number of new features that are going to make system owners quite happy indeed. Those users are going to be especially happy if they happen to own a computer that is currently running Windows 10. Headlining the August update today is the fact that users will be able to stream games to their Windows 10 devices in HD. That means they’ll be able to have these games playing in 1080p resolution and 60fps.

Of course, as Microsoft points out on its official page, this kind of resolution is really only going to work if users have a home network with Internet speeds and bandwidths that allow high definition games. In order to make sure that you are able to do this, you’ll need to change settings just a little bit, but it’s rather easy. Just go into the Settings > Game Streaming and set the video encoding level to Very High. Now that very high means 1080p and 60fps players will be able to stream the games as if they are playing them right on their console and HDTV.

While the high definition streaming is the headliner today, there are a number of other features that are being rolled out starting today. Among the new features is the ability to easily compare your achievements in a game with that of one of your friends side by side. Players will also be able to change when and how they receive various notifications. For all the new updates you can check out the Xbox main page.
