Fable Legends

Microsoft’s upcoming multiplayer oriented Fable game, Fable Legends, will not be on Steam, in spite of having a PC version compatible with Windows 10, developer Lionhead has confirmed.

This might stand out in stark contrast with what Microsoft said recently about wanting nothing more than to support Steam, but as always, it’s not as quick and simple as that- Fable Legends is a free to play game, after all, and it does make sense that Microsoft would not want to share revenue that the game will presumably generate consistently with Valve.

That said, it does remain to be seen whether this will become a policy for all Microsoft games coming to PC going forward, or if it will just be limited to the free to play ones, such as Fable Legends, as well as Killer Instinct, which will be coming to PC soon.

Fable Legends launches on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. Stay tuned for more coverage.
