2K Games has always been on point with its basketball games as evidenced by the successful NBA 2K series. Its latest iteration NBA 2K16 will be taking the mechanics of past years and refining them further but it will also work to bring much of the real-life nuance from basketball into the game. This is evident in the Living World, wherein coaches have their own mindsets, crowds react differently and teams are constantly readjusting to each other’s strategies on the court.

The trailer below explains how the development team – with Mike Wang, Scott O’Gallagher and Jerson Sapida – implements these features while still maintaining the signature gameplay. It should also be noted that those who pre-order NBA 2K16 will receive it on September 25th, four days before it’s out officially. Not a bad deal – especially when games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided lock that behind convoluted pre-order schemes.

NBA 2K16 will be releasing for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
