Destiny The Taken King Cinematic Trailer is Full of Space Drama

Not that we're complaining, mind you.

Destiny The Taken King

Oryx is nearly upon Destiny’s populace in The Taken King and in case you missed it in last week’s live-stream reveal, the cinematic trailer for the upcoming expansion is now available for viewing.

The trailer contains bits and pieces of different story details – Reef queen Mara Sov and what is assumed to be the Techeun Witches, Eris’s musings, a meeting between the Vanguard discussing the threat of Oryx and so on. The number of CG cut-scenes is interesting and makes us wonder how they’ll be incorporated into the game itself, seeing as Destiny’s past expansions only had prologue cinematics and nothing more.

Destiny: The Taken King is out on September 15th for Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360. Update 2.0, which lets every player preview the new Crucible maps and modes along with changing up guns, will be out on September 8th. Are you looking forward to both? Let us know in the comments.
