Bungie to Fix Destiny’s Underwhelming Nightfall Rewards

Creative director Luke Smith promises as much anyway.

Destiny The Taken King

You’ve completed the Nightfall in Destiny this week, which is no small task given the fact that it’s Arc Burn and features one of the more difficult sections – the Warsat Defense – of any strike in the game. However, your rewards are pitiful, you receive little to no reputation and there’s no XP bonus that lasts the rest of the week. Is it any wonder then that the Nightfall is the least positive experience of Year Two?

Thankfully, Bungie seems to be aware of the lack of substantial rewards. Creative director Luke Smith remarked on Twitter that, “Nightfall Rewards can be underwhelming. Runes/low # of coins/no reputation burst/weak legendaries all feel like losing. We’re gonna fix it.”

Bungie has been fairly on point with updates and fixes recently. It removed Shot Package from shotguns and fixed game breaking freezes that would occur when using perks like Firefly. It also nerfed Three of Coins to prevent Exotic engram farming and reduced the overall damage on the Black Spindle, which have been met with concerns. Stay tuned for more information on Nightfall reward fixes though.
