While we don’t know all that much about what Elder Scrolls 6 or Skyrim 2 might hold, mainly because the game hasn’t actually been confirmed as ever coming, we do have a couple ideas about what it should contain when and if it finally does get announced. Earlier, we talked about the need for dynamic side quests such as the way The Witcher 3 handles those quests. We still think that’s a pretty good way to go and the best way to do that is to also have a multi-region world involved.

The bigger the world, the better the side quests can be, because they can be written specifically for the region where the player is located. That means they’ll be able to have something truly unique when they are going out on their missions. This kind of a setup will also offer a more immersive world all the way around. There is something to be said for the larger an open world in order to make it feel as though you are truly traveling over the land.

If Bethesda wants this next game to be successful, it’s going to have to make sure it stands up against other titles that are similar. The game is only going to be able to stand up against those titles if Skyrim 2 or Elder Scrolls 6 have as an immersive approach as possible and having multiple regions will certainly help.

This article is part of our weekly series on Bethesda’s next big entry into the world of The Elder Scrolls. Through this series we take a look at the possible new features that Bethesda can add into the next The Elder Scrolls game, based on what they implemented in the previous entries and player feedback.
