With the release of both Halo 5: Guardians and Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate right around the corner, it’s also about time to start seeing the official reviews for these games. Earlier this week, we were able to catch wind about when people could expect to start seeing just what the titles had to offer. Perhaps not all that surprisingly, neither game is going to be giving us a ton of lead time to read the reviews before the games are out. To some degree, that’s just how the video game world works these days.

On Twitter, industry insider Shinobi was the one who broke the news on when we can expect to start seeing reviews for Guardians. According to him, the first reviews for the new game will be landing on Monday, October 26 around 2 AM Eastern Time. That same day, you’ll be able to watch a rather long livestream of the game. If you haven’t already preordered Halo 5, it appears you’ll be able to get a good long look at whether or not it’s worth the money, assuming you’re an Xbox One owner.

As for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, the review embargo for Ubisoft’s latest will be lifted on October 22, a full day before the game is set to go live. While some are pointing to the late embargo date as a bad sign, that’s actually about 12 hours earlier than the company lifted the embargo for Unity. Make of that what you will. Halo 5: Guardians is set to launch exclusively on the Xbox One on October 27, 2015 and Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate’s official launch date on the PS4, Xbox One and PC is October 23.
