One of the best things about Bethesda games is their extensive support for user created mods- mods are what gave The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim such a long life even beyond its initial 2011 release, for example, and they are what keep it one of the most popular PC games every year. With Fallout 4 coming out soon, and with it having been promised some pretty thorough mod support (including the mods being compatible with the console versions of the game), no doubt there are those who are impatient to learn more about how mods will work this time around.
Bethesda has promised that those users will learn more about mods soon, after the release of Fallout 4 two weeks from now. “We’re gonna focus on the game release first and talk about mods when we’ve figured some stuff out,” Pete Hines said on his Twitter, in response to a fan’s question.
It makes sense- this is exactly what Bethesda did with the release of Skyrim, for example. Modders, don’t worry. Bethesda will do right by you.
Fallout 4 launches in November on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
