Just Cause 3 New Video Still Tries To Sell Us On The Story

Really, all I care for is the open world, and the havoc I can wreak in it.

Once again, Avalanche Studios and Square Enix have released a brand new video for the upcoming Just Cause 3, which launches on December 1 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The video, which is a developer diary (the fourth in the series, actually), gives us more insight into the game’s narrative and, more importantly, how that translates to the story missions.

Apparently, you don’t have to worry that the story missions will just get in the way of you trying to paint your masterpiece of destruction on the canvas that is Just Cause. In the video, which you can see below, Avalanche stresses that these missions are “an excuse to try cool things,” allowing the player freedom to experiment and reach their goals however they wish. Basically, you get to break things even in the story, and that’s good.

So… you know, who knows, we might actually see people give a damn about playing through the story in the game this time around!
