Activision Blizzard released its financial report for the quarter ending on September 30th and revealed that Bungie’s Destiny has more than 25 million registered users. That’s a fairly big jump from the previous quarter which reported 20 million registered users. The publisher also revealed that Destiny players were now averaging three hours per day and that it was now the “most watched console game on Twitch”.

Though there have been changes which nerfed the drop rate of Strange Coins and Weapon Parts, thus facilitating more grinding on the part of players, these happened after September 30th. It should be noted that the huge uptick in registered users is due to The Taken King expansion which launched on September 15th and became the most downloaded expansion of all time.

Overall, it’s not hard to credit Destiny for Activision’s uptick in revenue. Its net revenue from digital channels was $697 million, an all-time high, and made up 67 percent of its total $1.04 billion net revenue, a whopping 38 percent more compared to the year prior.
