Call of Duty Black Ops 3

Considering just how popular Call of Duty Black Ops 3 has been since the game was launched, we shouldn’t be all that surprised that there have been a couple of problems surrounding the game. We’re not talking about the game’s glitches and bugs this time around. This time we’re talking about the number of people who have taken advantage of the broad customization abilities when it comes to emblems and paint jobs.

Treyarch announced earlier this week that the company is going to be handing out lifetime bans from accessing the customizable emblems and paint shop to those people who are creating offensive emblems and = paint jobs. For the most part, this refers to someone creating a symble that is overtly racist, such as a white supremacist symbol. Apparently, the ban will also apply to people who might choose to make a symbol that looks like male genitalia.

As Gearnuke points out, this doesn’t mean the person who chooses to do this will be banned from playing the game at all, but they will never be allowed to make a customized emblem or paint job in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 again. This practice is nothing new, as the same kind of policy was prevalent in both Call of Duty Black Ops 1 and 2. It’s still interesting that Treyarch isn’t wasting any time in stomping out the ability of people to go out of their way to other people by going with something overtly racist. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is currently available on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One as well as the PS3 and Xbox 360.
