Dying Light The Following

Now that Dying Light: The Following has been announced, we’re getting a bit of new information about what this new mode is going to feature. WCCF Tech recently got ahold of Techland in order to get some information about the mode that is coming. Among the information is the apparent size of the map, which the team is claiming will actually be twice as big as the base game’s map.

Producer Tymon Smektala was asked to to specific about how big the map is going to be. “We haven’t measured the new area exactly. Though a quick look shows us there is enough space to take the 2 main maps from Dying Light and fit them into The Countryside at least twice.” He told the site. The Following map is also supposed to be seamless, whereas the base game had the map split up by a loading screen.

That map will apparently fit nicely into the more than 10 hours of content we know the game is going to be bringing when it launches in February. One of the bigger questions that have been floating around the title is whether or not Parkour is still going to be playing a big time role. Smektala made sure to mention it still would. “There are areas of the map where parkour is still essential and a key tool to your survival. We know fans loved the parkour so were making sure it’s still a crucial element. The dirt buggy is something new when it comes to getting around, while parkour will be the familiar favorite which equally has a place in Dying Light: The Following.”
