The tease appears to have something to do with Hoth.

The last time Star Wars: Battlefront got an update, it got a new map as well as a new game mode. Is the same going to be coming along with a teased announcement Electronic Arts made on Twitter on Monday? The company posted a picture of Luke and Han on Hoth along with the message, “Prepare for a cold front coming through.” The company said it will be bringing this cold front and information around with that news on January 26.

That should mean we’re just hours from this announcement filling us all in and there has been plenty of guessing. It would seem likely that the announcement will be about EA and DICEs January patch, since there’s only a few more days in the month and that update still hasn’t landed. Tuesday is also the usual day when new video games are released. That’s also become a day when plenty of DLC has launched so the 26th would seem like a good time to see this update come.

We know that Tattooine isn’t going to be included in this update but that’s all we actually know for sure. When EA and DICE did bring their last update, they brought Jakku, from the force awakens but the game already has Hoth as one of its maps, which makes the tease that much more mysterious. Perhaps there’s going to be another game mode for people to try out? We won’t have to wait long in order to see what is coming next to Star Wars: Battlefront.
