DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront is primed for a new patch this month and word was going around, as a recently released EA Brasil video indicated, that it would be providing some new costumes for Luke and Leia along with a new map set on Tattooine.

Unfortunately, the Tattooine map doesn’t seem to be happening. According to lighting artist Oscar Carlen regarding the video, “There were some misinformation so it was taken down. It is still a great patch, I dont think you will be disappointed.”

He also outright confirmed that, “Sorry, but the January update does not contain a new map.”

Carlen also said that, “Its heartbreaking to see fans setting themselves up to be disappointed when we work so hard to make you happy.”

There will be paid content to look forward to when Star Wars Battlefront‘s first expansion gets rolling though so keep an eye out on that. What are your thoughts on the same? Let us know in the comments.
