Destiny’s Latest Loot Farming Method Highlights Flawed Design

Bungie's latest "event" flounders ever further.

Crimson Days are here in Bungie’s Destiny, though the response to the week-long PvP event has been less than stellar. With the lack of daily bounties, shabby rewards and matchmaking providing for a mix of frustrating skill-based combat, many players have heavily criticized the entire handling of the same.

To make it worse (or more hilarious), a new loot farming method for the event’s most coveted items – namely the Ghost Shells which could potentially drop at 320 Light level – has highlighted the poor design behind Crimson Days. Essentially, these rewards can drop if players simply suicide at the end of each round, thus wrapping up the match and speeding up the process overall.

This wouldn’t normally be a problem if (a) there were quests for players to earn the high Light level Ghosts, (b) a ranking level system for completing bounties provided drops from packages, (c) Bungie’s RNG actually rewarded players with these items on completing the weekly bounties or (d) matches weren’t so highly competitive in this casual event for couples due to the flawed matchmaking.

Either way, check out the farming method below courtesy of Esoterickk. It works, that’s for sure.
