Need for Speed To Have Unlocked Framerate, 4K Resolution Support on PC

The improvements aren't all graphical, however.

Need for Speed launched on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last year, but the PC version of the game got an eleventh hour delay by Ghost Games, who explained that they were pushing the PC release into 2016 to have more time to optimize it better. And it looks like they’ve been busy, because IGN reports that they have made good on their word- when Need for Speed launches this April on PC, it will launch with unlocked framerate (something that its immediate predecessor, 2013’s Need for Speed Rivals, sorely lacked), as well as support for 4K resolutions.

The improvements aren’t just graphical, however- EA says that the PC version of the game will also have support for manual transmissions (something the console versions bafflingly lacked). It is unclear right now whether this improvement will also be coming over to the console versions of the game. In addition, the PC version will also be launching with all the updates that the console versions have already released, on day one (except for the Showcase update, which will launch shortly after launch).

EA claims that the PC version of Need for Speed will be the best and definitive version of the game.
