There's no stopping this game.

Fallout 4 may ultimately have been a bit of a disappointment – instead of being the kind of pioneering open world RPG experience that we expect from Bethesda, it was a rather conservative and ultimately sterile feeling game – but it was a massive success. Within the first 24 hours alone, it had shipped over 12 million copies worldwide.

And now, we know that sales of the game on PC alone have crossed 3 million, according to SteamSpy– and since SteamSpy tracks games on Steam, these are all sold through, rather than shipment figures. What an enormous success the game has been, really.

With the upcoming introduction of the official modding tools to the game in April, as well as the multiple new DLC packs, it seems as though sales of the title are not about to falter anytime soon. Looks like this one will be a fixture on the charts for along time to come.

Fallout 4 is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
