When PlayStation VR finally went up for pre-orders in the UK, GAME, the leading dedicated retailer of video games in the country, announced that it would be the exclusive physical retailer for the headset in the country- meaning that if you didn’t want to use Amazon, or its ilk, GAME was your only choice.
This naturally caused a lot of unhappiness with a lot of people- but it shouldn’t have, because it seems to have all been a miscommunication. GAME has removed any mention of it being the sole retailer for PlayStation VR from its site and press release, implying that other retailers in the UK will be peddling Sony’s VR headset when it launches, too. So hey, if you don’t want to use Amazon to order it, and detest GAME? You still have options!
PlayStation VR will launch later this year in October, worldwide. In the UK, it will be £349.
