When Star Fox Zero finally launches next month, it will also be coming alongside Shigeru Miyamoto’s Star Fox Guard. Star Fox Guard is the final form of Project Guard, a low key project Miyamoto showed off at E3 a couple of years ago, which he meant as a proof of concept for the Wii U’s Gamepad. It is now an additional minigame mode in Star Fox Zero.
If you are curious about exactly how it works, then you are in luck- Nintendo finally opened up Star Fox Zero’s North American website today, and in the process, also shared a trailer, as well as new information, for Star Fox Guard. You can check out the new trailer for yourself below.
It seems to be something that could be quite compelling- I would definitely like to see it developed further in a future game. Star Fox Zero is set to launch exclusively on the Wii U on April 22.
