Bethesda’s games are well-known for their sprawling size and scope—you can lose yourself in Fallout 4’s wasteland for hundreds of hours. There’s never a shortage of things to do or McGuffins to collect. The flip side of this is that Bethesda is notorious for poor QA—Skyrim, Oblivion, and, of course, Fallout 4, shipped with thousands of bugs that range from Skyrim’s hilarious bucket glitch to game-breaking bugs that prevent you from finishing quests.
In the end, it’s up to the community to fix things up—Skryrim, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Morrowind have all received unofficial community mega-patches, and now it’s Fallout 4’s turn: The Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch, available on Fallout 4 Nexus here, aims to comprehensively squash all the bugs left in the game.
We’ll be keeping an eye on this project, but if it’s anything like the Unofficial Patch Project Team’s previous work with Skyrim, this’ll be a must-have, even if you’re looking for a pure vanilla Fallout 4 experience.
